The Ex List: New CBS Dramedy Premieres

October 3, 2008 by Chandra

The Ex ListLots of Moonlight fans are still griping about the rookie series that will take over the vampire drama’s old Friday time slot, the Elizabeth Reaser romantic dramedy called The Ex List.

The newcomer has one obvious thing going for it: an Emmy-nominated female lead, Reaser, whose presence instantly makes the series compatible with its crazy popular Jennifer Love Hewitt lead-in Ghost Whisperer. I’m going to give it a shot and see what’s what (and not only just because I have to blog about it).

Those who haven’t yet made a decision can get a leg up on the process by checking out the video after the jump, an in-depth look at the show’s pilot, which premieres tonight on CBS at 9pm EST.

New CBS Dramedy First Look: The Ex List

May 16, 2008 by Chandra

Elizabeth Reaser
The dramedy The Ex List (formerly Myth X and The Mythological Ex) stars Grey’s Anatomy Emmy Award-nominated recurring guest star Elizabeth Reaser as Bella Bloom, a successful and independent career woman who learns dire news one day. According to a psychic, Bella has already met and dated her one true love and, worse, if she doesn’t track him down within one year, she’ll remain alone for the remainder of her sad, sad life.

At first, Bella is understandably skeptical about this revelation, until she encounters proof. She then begins to contemplate her past failed relationships, relying on her sister Daphne (Rachel Boston of American Dreams) and assorted friends as support, in order to figure out who she’s destined to marry. The series focuses on the journey Bella experiences during the manhunt.

CBS ordered 13 episodes of the hourlong series executive produced by Diane Ruggiero (Veronica Mars) and Jonathan Levin (Charmed). View a clip after the jump.
