During the episode, Jackie talks about her daughter Grace’s anxiety with Dr. O’Hara, and pharmacist Eddie discovers a machine called a Pyxis that dispenses pills is set to replace him.

During the episode, Jackie talks about her daughter Grace’s anxiety with Dr. O’Hara, and pharmacist Eddie discovers a machine called a Pyxis that dispenses pills is set to replace him. Losing your job to another human being — Sucks. Losing your job to a piece of equipment — Pretty damn priceless and brutal.

Follow the jump for more spoilers.

The kicker of the episode, however, is one of the latest patients to arrive for treatment at All-Saints Hospital in Manhattan: an elderly gentleman who’s been treating his heart condition with — you guessed it — chicken soup. Apparently, it was tasty but didn’t do much good.

The two sneak peeks below are The Cat Did That (the team learns a patient was involved in a most unfortunate incident involving his cat) and The Pyxis (Jackie asks Doctor Cooper to oppose installing a Pyxis to replace Eddie.). If you’re lovin’ Peter Facinelli as Doctor Cooper, these clips are definitely for you since he’s featured prominently in both.

More after the jump.

On the down side, however, at least for Nancy, Jill pays an unexpected visit just as nancy’s doctor advises her to get rid of the stress in her life. And if that’s not enough in the bad department, the Botwins are also forced to flee their home when Esteban’s bodyguard, who was assigned to watch Nancy, turns up missing during the engagement.

As for the other characters: Silas and Doug try to get official permission to launch their medical marijuana business, and Celia heads back to the States after things don’t work out with her managing that rebel camp.

“Su-Su-Sucio” was written by Roberto Benabib and Matthew Salsberg and directed by Lesli Linka Glatter. The usual pair of sneak peeks follow, the first called Sour Punch Bites (Silas and Doug discover it’s not so easy getting a license for a store that deals in medicinal marijuana) and the second Una Problema? (Nancy visits the doctor again when she suspects there may be a problem with her pregnancy), which is Spanish for “a problem,” if you didn’t know.

Written and directed by Blayne Weaver (Outside Sales, Losing Lois Lane), the flick stars The New Adventures of Old Christine’s Tricia O’Kelley as poor Sylvia Miller, a 35-year-old Seattle morning-show weather girl who wigs out on television when she discovers that her no-good boyfriend Dale Waters (Mark Harmon, NCIS) has been getting it on with her co-host Sherry Warren (Kaitlin Olson, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia).

Follow the jump for more details and the official trailer.

Of course, the unseemly incident immediately leads to a pink slip, which forces Sylvia into reluctant cohabitation with her younger brother Walt (Ryan Devlin, Big Shots) and his best friend Byron (Patrick J. Adams, Friday Night Lights). So, the former independent single career woman not only has to cope with her undesirable living arrangement, but also her unwanted reputation as the weather girl who freaked out on live television. That’s not an easy thing to live down, you know.

Besides the previously mentioned cast members, Weather Girl also features a slew of additional familiar sitcom stars, such as Enrico Colantoni (Just Shoot Me!), Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men), Alex Kapp Horner (The New Adventures of Old Christine), Marin Hinkle (Two and a Half Men), and Jane Lynch (Party Down), as well as Dirty Sexy Money’s Blair Underwood. If you’re a fan of comedy TV, you can’t do much better than that on the big screen.

Continue below to watch the movie’s trailer. There’s a whole bunch of stills in the separate post “‘Weather Girl’ in Photos,” and the film has its very own Facebook page for fans, too.

That’s right — Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation), Rob Huebel (The Office), and Paul Scheer (30 Rock) are dropping by the show again to lend a humorous hand after playing insurance representatives on last season’s episode “Mayor Hernandez.” And if you didn’t already know, the Viacom in the current episode’s title is the media company that owns the show’s home network Comedy Central, as well as many other basic-cable networks, including BET, Logo, MTV, Nick at Nite, and TV Land.

The latest cop adventures in Reno, Nevada, will have the Sheriff’s Department staff participating in a major operation to nab whomever’s been manufacturing knock-off toys that have ruined children’s parties all around town. Meanwhile, one of the subplots will require the department to issue a public apology after it’s revealed the cops arrested the wrong person for being the so-called Dumpster Rapist almost five decades ago. Poor dude even went to jail.

For more on that, take a look at the sneak peek clip below featuring Lieutenant Dangle doing the deed at an outdoor media event. Whoops!

The first episode, “Meet the Cousins,” has a main storyline that concerns Will, who finds himself in trouble with Sasha after she comes across some photos on his cell phone that show him at a bachelor party. It’s safe to assume the pictures are on the wild or provocative side.

A second plot thread involves Mr. Brown, who — to his great dismay, I’m sure — learns that he and Mrs. Daisy have distant relatives in common when he investigates his family tree. There’s no way that’s not going to be extremely funny.

Following at 10:30pm is “Meet the Body.” I have no idea what the title refers to, but the two major plots involve Mr. Brown, who gets on everybody’s last nerve while preparing for a visit from a magazine reporter, and Brianna, who’s not so pleased when Sasha gives her an elegant dress to wear to a formal ball. Apparently, Brianna’s still coming to terms with her mother’s situation.

Continue below to check out a sneak peek for the first episode featuring my two favorite characters, Brown and Daisy, who it seems are cousins. I can totally see that, too.

This time around, viewers will get to hang out more with Jackie’s family when the nurse and her husband Kevin (Dominic Fumusa) grow increasingly suspicious that their young daughter Grace (Ruby Jerins) may have a pesky anxiety disorder.

Up tonight (June 12) in the series’ new Fridays at 8pm ET time slot is “If the Shoe Fits, Steal It.” Steve (Saget) is busy being the resident grouch his neighbors know and loathe, until his young daughter Courtney’s shoes are stolen and he finds another way to behave distastefully. This particular time, he decides to blame the mother of one of Courtney’s classmates for the theft.

Somehow, the fact that Courtney’s name is on the bottom of her shoes leads to Steve having to prove he’s interested in his children. Elsewhere, Steve’s son Henry recruits his dad for help hiding his SAT scores from his mother. I’m guessing that means the numbers aren’t good.

Surviving Suburbia is currently scheduled to air on Friday nights at least into July.

The bad, sad news dropped earlier today. Basic-cable network TBS, which currently syndicates My Name Is Earl, has declined to pick up the comedy following its cancellation at NBC last month.
Blame the latest disastrous and final development in the comedy’s struggle to survive on failed negotiations. Apparently, Turner, which owns TBS (and also TNT), and the sitcom’s production studio, Twentieth Century Fox TV, were unable to reach an agreement that would have allowed production of new episodes to continue.

The culprit? Money, as always. It seems one or both sides couldn’t come up with a financial strategy that worked for everyone involved.

In fact, to keep the single-camera comedy going for a fifth season would have required chopping $1 million from the weekly budget. That, in turn, would have required cutting members of the series’ cast and writing team, in addition to reducing production expenses. And since ABC and Fox both already passed on the chance to acquire the show, there was nowhere left to turn for a last-minute bailout.

Said Twentieth Century Fox TV in an official statement:

While we had hoped to find a way to produce additional episodes for TBS, in the final analysis we simply could not make the economics work without seriously undermining the artistic integrity of the series. As none of us, [series creator Greg Garcia] included, want the show to go out on anything but a high note, we regret that we must put to rest any speculation that Earl will continue. We are grateful to everyone at TBS for their enthusiasm for the series and wish to offer our heartfelt thanks to the cast and crew of My Name is Earl for their incredible work.

And there you have it. So long, My Name Is Earl. Karma was mostly good to you while your four-season run lasted.
