As everyone in the United States knows, the long-awaited film version of Sex and the City opened in theaters yesterday. Fans of the series will get a treat tonight when star Cynthia Nixon pays a visit on the latest episode of BBC America’s The Graham Norton Show.
Also on the schedule are English comedian David Mitchell (Peep Show, That Mitchell and Webb Look) and American rockers One Republic. Check your local television guide for air times either before or after taking a look at the following stills from the episode.

The Office
The Futon Critic posts the NBC press release announcing that the second round of Office webisodes, as well as the first round for Heroes, will premiere at the beginning of July. Series cast members appearing online include Brian Baumgartner (Kevin), Oscar Nunez (Oscar), Leslie David Baker (Stanley), and Craig Robinson (Darryl).
Scrubs
TV Guide reports that, à la House, Scrubs is getting some fresh shiny faces to go along with its new shiny network next season, the show’s last. Joining the cast are Aziz Ansari (Human Giant), Betsy Beutler (The Black Donnellys), and Eliza Coupe (Unhitched, The Flight of the Conchords).
I’m not too familiar with any of the newbies but best wishes to them at the new gig all the same.
The Big Bang Theory
Fancast not only interviews Big Bang Theory standout Jim Parsons (Sheldon, the sheltered genius), but the website also posts a slew of very nice photos snapped on-set during the filming of the most recent episode, “The Peanut Reaction.”

“Can another show Carrie on?”
That’s the question Entertainment Weekly asks in the title of a recent article, referring, of course, to the still ultra popular HBO comedy series Sex and the City.
Judging by the mediocre and mostly uninteresting results of television’s two latest attempts — ABC’s Cashmere Mafia and NBC’s Lipstick Jungle — the answer is an emphatic “Not at the moment.”
If you’re a fan of the chick-TV comedy genre, check out the article The Next “Sex and the City”? to learn more than you ever thought you would about the arrival and rise of Sex and the City, and why the influential relationship show’s legacy still has such a stranglehold on the development fantasies of clueless TV network executives — most of whom are male, I might add, not that that’s an acceptable excuse.
