‘Eureka’ Has a Season Three Return Date
April 26, 2009 by Chandra

Sci Fi Channel’s Eureka finally has a return date for its current third season to resume. The network announced on Friday, April 24, that the science-fiction dramedy will take over the Fridays at 9pm ET time slot beginning on July 10. There are ten more episodes left in the 18-episode junior season.
While I personally prefer catching up with my favorite Eureka citizens before the weekend, it’s good to have them back whenever they’re allowed to hang out on the tube. Fingers crossed the new air date doesn’t lead to a decrease in ratings.

All times are Eastern Standard.
Greek — See You Next Time, Sisters
Charisma Carpenter’s ZBZ alumna Tegan is back on this episode as Frannie continues full steam ahead in her quest to topple Casey from the Zeta Beta Zeta presidency, this time by proposing a change to the election process that sticks Casey in a bad spot at the worst possible stage. Can Casey recover quickly enough from the unexpected roadblock?
Also, Rusty suggests Max throw a party for the engineering department at Kappa Tau, while Evan and Calvin both cope with how people keep themselves busy when their partners are away. Yeah, I know — the last part is kind of cryptic, intentionally.
Other highlights include additional guest stars Carol Potter (Beverly Hills, 90210) as a potential mentor for Casey and Marsha Smith (Babs in Animal House) as the Grand National President of ZBZ, as well as musical guest Plain White T’s, who return to perform their new single “Natural Disaster”

September 9, 2008 by Chandra
It’s not much, but a video is a video, even if it is only twenty seconds long. So, take a brief look at what’s coming up on Eureka tonight during the episode “Phased and Confused.”
Once again, the plot will find Sheriff Carter encountering more trouble around Eureka, this time in the form of a so-called superhero whose meddling creates big problems. And in a subplot, The Fixer’s latest secretive project puts Carter’s daughter Zoe and her friends in danger.
The teaser trailer for the episode follows the jump.

Eureka: A Final Goodbye to Nathan Stark
August 27, 2008 by Chandra
Yes, final.
The many Eureka fans already missing recently departed Nathan Stark got a nice surprise on last night’s “Show Me the Mummy.” Actor Ed Quinn’s character, who unexpectedly and shockingly died — for real — on the previous episode “I Do Over,” returned briefly, albeit only in the form of a holographic projection.
It turns out Nathan’s wedding gift to his bride-to-be for the second time, Allison Blake, was a man-made logic-diamond necklace programmed to express his deep and eternal love for her. How sad was it when she “played” the message at the very end of the episode? I’ll admit I teared up.
No matter how much we Stark fans might wish otherwise, however, it seems Nathan really is dead, or at least as much as a character can be on a sci-fi series like Eureka.
Eureka: ‘Show Me the Mummy’ Preview (8-26-08)
August 26, 2008 by Chandra
I love these witty Eureka titles, I tell ya. On August 26h’s “Show Me the Mummy,” Sheriff Carter & Company embark on a search for a runaway mummy when a famous archaeologist sets it loose after opening an Egyptian Queen’s cursed tomb.
And, yes, the original point of disaster is at Global Dynamics — where else? — and, yes, The Fixer is the person who brings the celebrity dirt digger to town. So, since we know Eva Thorne has something likely dirty up her sleeve, her actions beg the question of whether or not the mummy incident is staged, hoped for, or accidental. I still haven’t formed a hard opinion about her ulterior motives, which means I can’t guess at this point.
Take a look at a brief trailer for the episode over at the show’s Sci Fi Channel website.
Eureka airs Tuesdays on the Sci Fi Channel at 9pm EST.
