Sarah Silverman’s Second Season Ends Tonight
December 11, 2008 by Chandra
The Sarah Silverman Program is calling it a second season tonight at 10:30pm EST with the 16th and final episode “Vow Wow.”
Watch and be amazed — or dazed — as silly Sarah takes on the institution of marriage at her sister Laura’s expense. In addition to making fun of her sibling’s recent engagement to Jay, Sarah goes one step further by claiming to do the same with her dog Doug (!).
The situation then becomes that much weirder when Doug performs a heroic act and Sarah’s “love” for the pooch deepens as a result. If nothing else, it will be interesting to see if Silverman & Company can pull off such a very bizarre plotline.
Check out a preview clip from the finale after the jump.
‘The Sarah Silverman Program’ Returns
October 7, 2008 by Chandra
Season Two of The Sarah Silverman Program resumes tomorrow, October 8, with the midseason premiere “High, It’s Sarah.” Note the spelling of “high,” which leads me to believe Sarah is going to be just that.
Judging from the season preview trailer below, it looks like things are going to be just as tasteful as ever on the show, too. Take a look at what’s in store.
The Sarah Silverman Program airs Wednesdays on Comedy Central at 10:30pm EST.
The Real Reason Sarah Silverman Is, uh, Loving Matt Damon
February 3, 2008 by Chandra

If you haven’t already seen the hilarious video that brash comic Sarah Silverman presented to her boyfriend, late-night talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel, last Thursday on the occasion of his show Jimmy Kimmel Live’s fifth anniversary, please hurry up and take a look after the jump.
Many people might not realize it, but this Kimmel-Matt Damon thing started long before Silverman decided to go public with her, uh, love for the popular star in a mesmerizing video duet that is guaranteed not to go away for the rest of the year. Incidentally, the video was filmed way back in October 2007 for Kimmel’s fortieth birthday, but the writers strike put a big crimp in the plans to present it to him for that hallmark.
The fake feud between the comic and actor—yes, people, Kimmel and Damon don’t really have it out for one another—began a couple of years ago, when Kimmel picked up the habit of ending his show by apologizing to Matt Damon for running out of time, although Damon wasn’t a scheduled guest. Damon then appeared on Live in September 2006 and good-naturedly took part in an expletive-filled pretend argument when Kimmel abruptly ended the show before conducting a proper interview. Check out that clip, too, following the Silverman video after the jump.
Kimmel’s sidekick Guillermo even joined in the long-running joke when he did a few red-carpet interviews at the premiere of Ocean’s Thirteen and then played a major role in a spoof of the trailer for last year’s megahit The Bourne Ultimatum. With all of that history, I’ve got a feeling the fun and pranks aren’t over yet, which is good for all of us who can’t get enough of this stuff.
The Sarah Silverman Program: Second-Midseason Finale ‘Maid to Border aka Brian’s Song’
November 7, 2007 by Chandra
Tonight’s episode of The Sarah Silverman Program closes out the first half of the show’s second season, making it a midseason finale. Sarah and company are scheduled to return with eight fresh installments for the back half of the fourteen-episode sophomore run in Spring 2008. As soon as home network Comedy Central makes the date official, I’ll post it.

Maid to Border aka Brian’s Song
When Sarah’s cherished Hamburglar doll is missing, she fires her maid, Dora, believing she stole it. Without a maid, Sarah’s life descends into squalor and chaos. Realizing she needs her maid back, Sarah sets out for Mexico, where Dora has relocated—and has become a surprisingly powerful woman.
The Sarah Silverman Program airs Wednesdays on Comedy Central at 10:30pm EST.
As per usual, there’s a preview clip from the episode to get everyone ramped up for the forthcoming hilarity. Check it out after the jump.
As an added bonus provided by Comedy Central, interested parties can (re)view all of Season 2’s video clips in one location: The Sarah Silverman Program: Season 2 Videos.
If you really want to go back in time—or just really love yourself some Sarah—you can do the same for Season 1’s clips, too, at The Sarah Silverman Program: Season 1 Videos.

Ah, Men
WHEN SHE NEEDS A DATE FOR HER HIGH SCHOOL REUNION, SARAH TURNS TO GOD.
Sarah enters a serious romance with God. She starts to sour on his neediness and deep-seeded insecurity, but she also wants to show him off at her high school reunion.
Meanwhile, Brian and Steve wonder if smoking marijuana is what originally caused them to be gay.
The Sarah Silverman Program airs Wednesdays on Comedy Central at 10:30pm EST.
As usual, this installment sounds like another half-hour of goofy humor that’s sure to offend at least several people, whether they actually watched the episode or only heard someone else talking about it.
If you want an advance peek at all of the guaranteed inflammatory goodness, just follow the jump like a good Sarah fan for a brief “Date with God” snippet. And, that’s Tucker Smallwood playing Black God, by the way (and, yes, that’s the character’s official moniker—Black God).
Comedy Talk: Kristin Chenoweth Is On
October 29, 2007 by Chandra

Tonight’s late-night chat shows feature several names in comedy television. Pushing Daisies’ Kristin Chenoweth will visit The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and Seinfeld star Jerry Seinfeld is scheduled for the Late Show with David Letterman.
Meanwhile, on a repeat from October 9, just three weeks ago, fans will get to see Sarah Silverman and her significant other Jimmy Kimmel talk amongst themselves on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Next on ‘The Sarah Silverman Program’: Doodie

Doodie
[Don't cha love that title? Sarah is just fearless when it comes to keeping it real.]
After their mother’s grave—and skeleton—is defiled, the Silverman sisters become contestants on their favorite TV show in hopes of winning the money to replace the tombstone. In the stress of competition, Sarah’s childish obsession with doodie humor rocks her relationship with Laura, and threatens the honor of their departed mother.
The Sarah Silverman Program airs Wednesdays on Comedy Central at 10:30pm EST.
Want a preview? Continue after the jump to see Sarah and her real-life and onscreen sister Laura as they enjoy some TV together while watching their favorite show, Cookie Party.
Comedy Talk: Silverman and Carell Do-Overs
October 22, 2007 by Chandra

Missed ‘em the first time? Well, here’s your chance to catch ‘em again tonight and later this week. That’s because many of the late-night talkers are relying on repeats in coming days now that all of the big series debuts and premieres of the fall season are mostly finished.
For instance, the next edition of the Late Show with David Letterman is a repeat of the October 2 episode with controversial Comedy Central comic Sarah Silverman.
And, across the dial, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno will re-present its original September 26 installment. Among the segments is an interview with The Office’s super popular Steve Carell.
Next on ‘The Sarah Silverman Program’: Face Wars

Face Wars
Sarah wagers that it’s easier to be a black person in American than a Jewish person, and attempts to prove it by becoming “black” for a day with the help of a makeup artist. She embarks on an odyssey in which she becomes the beloved and persecuted leader of a unique racial justice movement. Brian and Steve grievously miscalculate the potency of medical marijuana.
The Sarah Silverman Program airs Wednesdays on Comedy Central at 10:30pm EST.
Wanna taste before ya watch? Then check out the following video clip, which shows what happens when Sarah gets the idea that she’s been the victim of a hate crime. Why does Sarah think this, you ask? Because she couldn’t get a tennis court at the local country club, that’s why. To be honest, though, there’s more of Sarah’s co-stars in the footage than her, not that that’s a bad thing or anything…

Joan of Arf
Sarah’s curiosity is piqued when Doug, her dog, repeatedly licks his own ass. When she finally gives in to temptation and takes a taste for herself, she is witnessed in the act. The authorities take Doug away from Sarah, sending her on an odyssey of self-doubt and a quest for redemption.
Is that description nasty enough for ya? This I gotta see (and it would be Sarah Silverman who gives me the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to do so).
The Sarah Silverman Program airs Wednesdays on Comedy Central at 10:30pm EST.
