‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ Fourth Season Ends Tonight

November 20, 2008 by Chandra

It's Always Sunny in PhiladelphiaSeason Four of FX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia comes to an end at 10pm EST tonight with another typically wacky episode, this one called “Nightman Cometh.”

It’s all about Charlie, who, with the rest of the gang’s help, puts on a musical production based on his song named “Nightman.”

Get an advance peek at the super-cheesy rock opera in the three preview clips after the jump, two featuring a most eye-catching costume worn by Dennis.

‘Sunny Philly’ Fourth Season Begins

September 18, 2008 by Chandra

It's Always Sunny in PhiladelphiaNow the moment we fans have all been waiting for with bated breath has finally arrived — Season Four of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia kicks off tonight with an hour of silly goodness from the guys (and one gal) at Paddy’s Pub.

On the 10pm EST premiere Mac & Dennis: Manhunters, the title characters get too involved with sport hunting. Meanwhile, Dee and Charlie develop an insatiable craving for Frank’s mystery meat, which sounds really, really nasty, in fine Sunny Philly style. Grammy winner Bruce Hornsby guest stars.

Then, on The Gang Solves the Gas Crisis, we have the return of 7th Heaven’s Stephen Collins, who plays Dennis and Dee’s biological father Bruce Mathis. When Dee and Frank learn Bruce intends to donate money to a Muslim community center, they go all out to have him branded a terrorist leader. Also, partly thanks to the ridiculous cost of gas these days and partly thanks to their idiocy, Mac, Dennis, and Charlie begin a scheme to make money by selling gasoline door-to-door.

In celebration of the new season launching tonight, check out a clip after the jump of series star Kaitlin Olson (Sweet Dee) answering burning fan questions covering topics like her approach to acting, being a hot chick, and suffering several major injuries. That’s her real-life fiancé wheeling her away at the end, also known as Sunny Philly creator and star Rob McElhenney (Mac).

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: ‘Going Back to Philly’ Video

July 16, 2008 by Chandra

It's Always Sunny in PhiladelphiaGreat! Now the idiots on FX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia have got me hooked on their stupid music video!

Directed by Wonder Years alum Fred Savage, who seems to be directing every single project he can get his hands on these days, and featuring the hip-hop sounds of Brooklyn MC Jeru the Damaja, the black-and-white musical mini-masterpiece showcases our favorite Sunny Philly cast members doing what they do best — acting silly in Philly.

Check out the addictive video crack after the jump to get way too excited about the show’s upcoming fourth season way too soon. Seriously. The premiere doesn’t even arrive until September 18, and already I can’t wait for it. Good thing, then, that it’s going to be one of those double-episode extravaganzas of massive inanity.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Third-Season Finale ‘The Gang Dances Their Asses Off’

November 15, 2007 by Chandra

The gang is about to check out tonight after completing their 15-episode third season in high, hilarious style. FX will almost certainly serve up oodles of repeats in the near future, even if it hasn’t yet announced if the series is good for a fourth season. Something tells me that given Sunny Philly’s continuously growing pool of fans, the network isn’t silly enough to let go of such a well-liked series just yet.

Next Up on ‘Sunny Philly’: The Gang Gets Whacked

November 1, 2007 by Chandra

Oh, boy! It’s another one of those infamous double episodes: two times the length yields twice the inanity. My head’s starting to hurt already—in a totally good way, of course.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

The Gang Gets Whacked, Parts 1 & 2

When the gang finds themselves in debt to the mob after a misunderstanding over a set of speakers and a stash of cocaine, Dennis is forced to pimp himself as a male escort to save the gang from getting whacked.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia airs Thursdays on FX at 10pm EST.

A male escort? Hmmm, I think Dennis will actually like that very, very much.

Next Up on ‘Sunny Philly’: Dennis Looks Like a Registered Sex Offender

October 25, 2007 by Chandra

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Dennis Looks Like a Registered Sex Offender

Dennis is mistaken for a recently released child molester but is more upset that he’s being mistaken for a fat person than a sex offender.

Mac tries to bond with his ex-con father who can’t take his crazy eyes off Dee, which gives her the creeps.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia airs Thursdays on FX at 10pm EST.

I tell ya, you just don’t get plots like Sunny Philly’s anywhere else on the tube. That fact alone makes the show worth a peek if you’re not already a devout fan.
