Tina Fey Talks Sarah Palin with David Letterman
October 19, 2008 by Chandra
Tina Fey dropped by CBS’ Late Show with David Letterman last week to discuss lots of things, including, of course, her recent spate of Emmy-worthy Saturday Night Live appearances impersonating Alaska governor and U.S. Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
Yeah, the governor visited SNL last night and participated in two mostly unfunny sketches, but Tina’s chat with Dave is way better, not to mention Tina’s too-brief appearance during the opening of last night’s SNL.
Check out the relevant segment of the David Letterman interview after the jump.
‘Office’ Star Jenna Fischer Shows Fans Her Love
August 1, 2008 by Chandra
I know it’s been a while and I don’t have a clip (damn you RedLasso for not warning beta members you were about to lock us out of our accounts!), but I do have a couple of photos from The Office star Jenna Fischer’s June 2 trip to David Letterman’s Late Show.
As the photos clearly show, the actress seems just as gracious and nice in real life as her roundly loved character Pam Beesly is on her NBC sitcom.
Take a look after the jump to see Fischer interacting with fans, signing autographs, and even posing with them as they take …read more
Comedy Talk: Denis Leary Chats with Letterman
June 24, 2008 by Chandra
Rescue Me co-creator, executive producer, and star Denis Leary visited David Letterman’s Late Show last Friday to spark some interest in the FX series’ summertime minisode run starting up tonight at 10pm EST.
The pair of comedians did their usual wry thing, with Leary giving viewers an in-depth look into his life at the moment, which includes having to eat every three hours on account of his high metabolism, putting up with an annual “ass cam” — I’m not making that up, folks — now that he’s over forty, and coping with sending his eighteen-year-old son off to college this September.

Comedy Talk: ‘Office’ Star Rainn Wilson Stays Up Late with Dave
April 10, 2008 by Chandra
Mega popular Office star Rainn Wilson, otherwise known as Dwight Schrute, took time out of his busy life and schedule in March to pay a visit to one of the best late-night yak shows around, the Late Show with David Letterman, of course.
I think Letterman, the crowd, and I were all about equally surprised to learn that the host is actually Wilson’s dad … or so Wilson claims when he says he nursed at the host’s “comedy teat” (does that create nasty images in your mind or what?). The revelation must have also been kind of awkward for Wilson’s …read more

As savvy fans of science-fiction TV already know, ten members from the cast of Sci Fi Channel’s stellar series Battlestar Galactica read the popular Top Ten list on the most recent Late Show with David Letterman.
The fourth and regrettably final season of the Peabody-winning space drama takes off on April 4, preceded on March 28 by two back-to-back half-hour specials. Fittingly, the theme of last night’s very entertaining segment was the Top Ten Reasons to Watch the New Season of Battlestar Galactica.
All of the cast members did a fine job delivering their lines, of course. The absolute best …read more
Comedy Talk: Courteney Cox and David Reunite at Last
March 16, 2008 by Chandra
Did the “David” in the post’s title make you do a double take? If so, apologies.
Judging from their initial banter, it had been quite a long while since Dirt star Courteney Cox last visited the Late Show with David Letterman when she stopped by at the end of February to push her FX series. Years, in fact. Cox offered an excellent excuse, though — the birth of her and husband David Arquette’s daughter Coco, who’ll turn four years old in June.
Cox spends substantial time talking about her little girl during the interview, as well as her and …read more

Bah Humbug: Still No Return Date for David Letterman
December 24, 2007 by Chandra
I hate to be a holiday spoilsport on Christmas Eve, but the truth is out there and must be reported. David Letterman’s production company Worldwide Pants failed to strike a deal with the Writers Guild of America when they met last Friday. The main purpose of the talks was to reach an agreement enabling Letterman and his fellow Worldwide Pants late-night host Craig Ferguson to return to the air soon with writers in tow creating fresh material.
Consequently, as of now, there remains no official guarantee that CBS’ Late Show with David Letterman and The Late Late Show with …read more
