Reno 911!: The Return of ‘Human Giant’

June 17, 2009 by Chandra

Wow! What goodies are in store for Reno 911! viewers tonight!

Not only will fans get the regular dose of comedic inanity we’ve come to expect from the show during tonight’s (June 17) new episode “Viacom Grinch,” but they’ll also be treated to three guest stars, all from the cult sketch-comedy series Human Giant.

Reno 911!

That’s right — Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation), Rob Huebel (The Office), and Paul Scheer (30 Rock) are dropping by the show again to lend a humorous hand after playing insurance representatives on last season’s episode “Mayor Hernandez.” And if you didn’t already know, the Viacom in the current episode’s title is the media company that owns the show’s home network Comedy Central, as well as many other basic-cable networks, including BET, Logo, MTV, Nick at Nite, and TV Land.

Craig Robinson Hangs Out on ‘Reno 911!’

June 10, 2009 by Chandra

There’s a nice episode of Comedy Central’s Reno 911! coming up tonight, June 10. It’s called “Deputy Dance” and features guest star Craig Robinson of The Office over on NBC and flicks like Pineapple Express.

Reno 911!

The latest law-enforcement shenanigans in Nevada revolve around the Reno Sheriff’s Department decision to hire the city’s so-called “finest director” to help them make a new recruitment commercial. Considering the recruitment advertisements fans have seen in the past, the cops are gonna need a whole lot more than just a measly top-notch director to help them attract non-crazy potential new recruits. Just sayin’.

Follow the jump for this week’s set of mildly offensive/inexplicable video clips, the first featuring Deputy Travis Junior’s attempt to correct lost workforce productivity due to the Internet, which apparently has caused American workers to become 80 to 87 percent lazier. I had no idea.

And in the second masterpiece, Deputy Raineesha Williams pours her poor heart out to snag a date with “a beautiful man with the gentle soul of a pastor and the heart of a gangster.” Hope she finds herself one just like that and that it doesn’t take too long.

Reno 911!: Stoner Jesus Preview

June 3, 2009 by Chandra

Reno 911!

What’s left for the fine deputies of the Reno Sheriff’s Department to tackle in their ongoing battle against crime? How about a drug-loving touring company for the classic hippie musical Jesus Christ Superstar?

That’s just what the cops will find themselves up against when said group make their way to Reno 911! tonight (June 3) and cause a whole lot of ruckus. Follow the jump for a preview of the commotion, featuring Lieutenant Dangle and Deputy Junior responding to a noise complaint early one morning. Groovy!

Reno 911!: ‘Getaway Trailer’ Preview

May 27, 2009 by Chandra

Reno 911!

During “Getaway Trailer,” the latest installment of the Reno 911! saga, Deputies Rizzo and Wiegel hang out together after they get trapped in a mobile home driven by a criminal on the run. For whatever reason, that actually sounds like fun to me — at least it’s not something you do everyday.

Follow the jump for a preview featuring the officers busting out a bottle of wine to help pass the time. Cute couple, no? Or on second thought…

Reno 911!

Get happy, George Lopez fans who enjoy mature humor. The comedian and actor returns to Comedy Central’s Reno 911! tonight (May 20) to reprise his role as Reno’s Mayor Hernandez on the perfectly titled episode “Helping Mayor Hernandez.”

The occasion is yet another troublesome prostitute in the official’s hotel room, which forces him to rely on the Reno Sheriff’s Department deputies to help get rid of her. Much lewd behavior ensues.

Don’t believe me? Then follow the jump to check out the sneak peek Getting Rid of a Hooker, featuring the mayor, Lieutenant Dangle, and Deputy Junior. Toldja.

‘Reno 911!’ Says ‘We Dont Want the Pope’

May 6, 2009 by Chandra

Reno 911!

Tonight’s brand-new episode of the Comedy Central cop spoof Reno 911! is called “We Don’t Want the Pope.” Could the title be any clearer?

If that doesn’t make it obvious who the Reno Sheriff’s Department isn’t too keen on, the episode itself certainly will. When the Pope’s advance scouting team comes to Reno, Lieutenant Dangle’s deputies give the members a tour of the city that ensures they’ll never come back.

A sneak peak follows after the jump, along with Comedy Central’s potentially offensive description.
