‘Chuck’ Wedding: Isn’t the Bride Lovely?
April 17, 2009 by Chandra
The wedding pictures are in, and doesn’t Chuck’s sister Ellie look absolutely stunning? I mean, aside from her thoroughly frustrated expression?
“Chuck Versus the Ring,” the big wedding episode — which also doubles as Chuck’s second-season finale — doesn’t air until Monday, April 27. Another new episode, “Chuck Versus the Colonel,” airs the preceding Monday, April 20. Yet, early finale preview photos show cast members all dolled up for the nuptials of Doctors Eleanor Bartowski and Devon Woodcomb.
‘Chuck Versus the Dream Job’ Preview
April 5, 2009 by Chandra
“Chuck Versus the Dream Job,” tomorrow night’s new episode of Chuck, is the big one, my fellow fans. Sure, it was great having Battlestar Galactica’s Tricia Helfer stop by last week during “Chuck Versus the Broken Heart,” but the latest adventures of the world’s only Human Intersect (I assume) will feature highly anticipated guest stars Scott Bakula (Quantum Leap) as long lost Daddy Bartowski and Chevy Chase as Ted Roark, Chuck’s new boss at his titular dream job.
Tricia Helfer Time on ‘Chuck’
March 29, 2009 by Chandra
Tomorrow night’s fresh episode of Chuck is called “Chuck Versus the Broken Heart,” and it’s the one featuring Battlestar Galactica’s Tricia Helfer, of course.
Everybody’s favorite Cylon is back in the spy game, à la her recent guest stint on Burn Notice, as Agent Alex Forrest. The official episode synopsis describes the character as “heartless,” and she arrives on the scene to give Sarah a job review after Chuck chooses the wrong time to discuss his (in)tense relationship with his handler. And while that’s unfolding, annoyingly persistent Jeff and Lester do their best to infiltrate Devon’s bachelor’s party (and …read more
Andy Richter & Jenny McCarthy Guest on ‘Chuck Versus the Suburbs’
February 11, 2009 by Chandra
I reckon the February 16th episode of Chuck called “Chuck Versus the Suburbs” is going to be yet another prime specimen of non-stop, supremely funny entertainment, thanks in part to guest stars Andy Richter (Andy Barker, P.I.) and Jenny McCarthy (Two and a Half Men). After looking at the episode photos, let me venture a guess that they’re doubling as the bad guys, too.
When Chuck and Sarah’s latest assignment forces them to pose as a happily married couple living in the suburbs, they meet a variety of interesting people, including Brad (Richter), a cheerful next-door neighbor in the stationary …read more
‘Chuck Versus the Third Dimension’ Preview
NBC is rolling out the sneak peeks and behind-the-scenes clips for next Monday’s Chuck, “Chuck Versus the Third Dimension,” the first fresh episode of the sophomore series in 2009.
This is the one in 3D where Lost alum Dominic Monaghan drops by to reprise his role as Charlie Pace play a rock star who causes Chuck Bartowski some serious headaches after the team rescues him from certain death.
Take a look at the earlier post “Preview: Dominic Monaghan in ‘Chuck Versus the Third Dimension’” to see the guest star in action, and follow the jump for a couple of video clips that …read more
Preview: Dominic Monaghan in ‘Chuck Versus the Third Dimension’
January 20, 2009 by Chandra
If you haven’t heard yet, Lost alum Dominic Monaghan has an upcoming guest-star gig on the very special February 2 episode of Chuck called “Chuck Versus the Third Dimension.”
The episode’s not just a big deal because of Monaghan, of course, but also because (1) it’s the first new Chuck of 2009 and (2) it will supposedly be broadcast in exciting 3-D. I say supposedly because I’ve tried watching 3-D TV and movies before, and neither ever did a thing for me. Maybe this time will be the charm.
Monaghan plays — surprise … not! — a rock star, this …read more
Chevy! Bakula! Three Is the Magic Number for ‘Chuck’
January 16, 2009 by Chandra
Yeah, I know — I only mentioned two names in the title. However, the magical number three refers to the number of Chuck episodes that upcoming top-notch guest stars Chevy Chase and Scott Bakula will each be appearing in, according to current reports.
Quantum Leap and Enterprise star Bakula has come onboard to play Chuck and Ellie’s oft-mentioned yet never-before-seen daddy. Considering his huge background and following in the science-fiction television genre, I’m sure fans everywhere are feeling all kinds of thrilled about his casting.
Says series creator Josh Schwartz to E! Online: “They [the Bartowski kids and their estranged …read more
Mr. and Mrs. Awesome Visit ‘Chuck’
November 29, 2008 by Chandra
The forthcoming December 1 episode of Chuck called “Chuck Versus the Sensei” is going to be a good one, guaranteed.
Now that it’s almost time for Chuck’s big sister Ellie to get hitched to awesome Devon, let’s meet his parents, Drs. Honey and Woody Woodcomb. They’re played by television icons Morgan Fairchild (Falcon Crest, Flamingo Road) and Bruce Boxleitner (Babylon 5, Scarecrow and Mrs. King), which is more than enough reason to tune in for their arrival.
Another excellent motivation is to see Alias veteran Carl Lumbly portray one more kick-ass spy, this time Casey’s sensei mentor Ty Bennett, whom the …read more
Jordana Brewster Returns on ‘Chuck Versus the Fat Lady’
November 17, 2008 by Chandra
After make an entertaining debut last week on Chuck as the title character’s infamous college girlfriend Jill — you know, the woman who slept with his best-friend roommate Bryce Larkin and then dumped him — Jordana Brewster continues her multi-episode arc during November 17th’s “Chuck Versus the Fat Lady.”
Things are going swell with Chuck and Jill’s rekindled romance, until she inevitably learns about his handler Sarah and her “undercover” role as Chuck’s girlfriend. Will jealousy get the best of Jill … or Sarah? Honestly, it could go either way and will likely go both.
And, if two smart, gorgeous …read more
Coming Soon: Meet the Girl Who Broke ‘Chuck’s Heart
October 29, 2008 by Chandra
In just a couple of weeks, longtime fans of NBC’s Chuck will finally get to spend some quality time with one of the series’ central figures, even if we’ve never seen her face before (I don’t think).
That would be Chuck Bartowski’s college ex-girlfriend Jill, whom our human computer claims dumped him for his duplicitous roommate Bryce Larkin, thereby breaking his fragile heart and causing much enduring pain.
The character is played by The Fast and the Furious star Jordana Brewster, and she arrives on the scene for a multi-episode story arc when Chuck tends to a Nerd Herd call on the …read more
