Ruby & The Rockits: Series Finale Tonight
September 22, 2009 by Chandra
If you’re a fan of ABC Family’s rookie original sitcom Ruby & The Rockits, it’s time to say goodbye, unfortunately.
The network has reportedly declined to pick up the David and Patrick Cassidy comedy for additional episodes, making tonight’s “Smells Like Teen Drama” the last new installment of the series. But at least the show is going out in style, with former Privileged and Bionic Woman star Lucy Hale making a guest appearance.
‘10 Things I Hate About You’ Gets Ten More Episodes

If you’ve been enjoying ABC Family’s new original sitcom 10 Things I Hate About You, then get happy. Just this week, the network added ten more installments to the rookie comedy’s original ten-episode order.
Unfortunately, the outlook isn’t as rosy for 10 Things‘ fellow frosh summer sitcom Ruby & the Rockits. According to reports, that show not only didn’t receive an order for additional episodes, but it also won’t continue past its initial ten-episode run. You win some, you lose some.

What a blast from the past. The teen hearthrob Cassidy brothers from decades ago return to the tube tonight in ABC Family’s latest original sitcom Ruby & The Rockits.
Half brothers David and Patrick Cassidy star as fictional siblings Patrick and David Gallagher (I know — how original), while 20-year-old Alexa Vega (Spy Kids) stars as the title character Ruby.

Next on ‘Greek’: From Rushing with Love
April 6, 2009 by Chandra
The April 6 fresh episode of ABC Family’s Greek is called “From Rushing with Love.”
Of note is the fact that it was directed by Wonder Years child star Fred Savage, now 32, who has taken a directorial seat behind the camera on a number of comedy-centric television series on various networks in the last few years, including ABC’s Ugly Betty, CBS’ Worst Week, FX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Starz’s Party Down, TBS’ My Boys, and The CW’s defunct Aliens in America. The guy is definitely getting around and building an impressive résumé in the process.
