Starting at 9pm ET, ABC will feature back-to-back episodes of the show until 10pm. Follow the jump to get the details for tonight’s repeats.

First up are the Season Eight installments “The Daddy Way” (Jim avoids boredom by turning babysitting into a sporting event when Cheryl teams him up with other dads stuck at home with kids) and “Physical Therapy” (Jim stages an accident for Andy so he won’t have to tell his girlfriend how he really got hurt — while playing snow football with Jim that she warned him not to play).

Jim Belushi’s teenage son Robert Belushi guest stars on the first episode, and comedy-TV writing and producing legend Garry Marshall (Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, The Odd Couple) guest stars on the second.

According to Jim airs Fridays on ABC at 9pm and 9:30pm ET.

Coming up tonight, July 2, on the series are the two fresh episodes “Todd’s Job” and “The Sister.” The first features former Girlfriends and All My Children cast member Dondre Whitfield, who just happens to be married to Eureka star Salli Richardson-Whitfield, and the second has guest stars Christine Ebersole of USA Network’s breakout hit dramedy Royal Pains and Florence Henderson of Brady Bunch fame. Woot!

On “Todd’s Job” at 8pm ET, Samantha is determined to sabotage Todd’s competition for a newspaper photography job after she realizes she may have kept him from becoming a successful photographer back before amnesia made her less of a bitch.

Elsewhere, Regina puts Dena’s house on the market — yes, without Dena’s permission — so she can keep making her real estate partnership with Samantha seem real.

Then on “The Sister” at 8:30pm, Samantha makes the surprising discovery that she has both an aunt named Amy and a grandmother named Loretta, both of whom nobody ever mentioned after she developed amnesia because of a long-time family feud between Regina and her sister.

Meanwhile, Andrea’s popularity with Tony Dane’s fans takes a huge nosedive when they start believing she’s a jinx. Apparently, every time she goes to one of Dane’s basketball games, his team loses, so “jinx” sounds about right to me.

Samantha Who? airs Thursdays on ABC at 8pm and 8:30pm ET.

When passersby report strange lights they’ve seen in the desert, mysterious deputies soon follow and appear near the Reno Sheriff’s Department. Yet, all the deputies can think about is whether or not they’ll have to include the newcomers in the holiday round of Secret Santa.

A preview clip, Five Cops, One Evidence Tape, follows, featuring Lieutenant Dangle and his fellow male law enforcers as they watch a surveillance tape filmed at a restaurant.

Reno 911! airs Wednesdays on Comedy Central at 10:30pm ET.

During the first 10pm ET episode, Sasha understandably becomes jealous when Will’s beautiful and “loose” socialite ex-girlfriend Lynn unexpectedly attends a charity benefit he’s chairing. Her attitude changes, however, when she discovers exactly who Lynn is actually attracted to. Meanwhile, London arranges a Botox Party when she learns Edna is contemplating getting a little plastic surgery.

Following at 10:30pm, Brown gets a bullet in the butt — really — when a convenience store is robbed, but he overcomes his hurt pride to make people feel as sorry for him as possible. Of course, everybody eventually gets wise, and elsewhere, Edna decides to stop acting so horny all the time when she experiences a health scare.

There’s no new preview clip this week, but check out the vide below featuring a discussion with Meet the Browns star David Mann, who plays Mr.Brown. Love that snowy facial hair!

The darkly humorous series stars The Punisher’s Thomas Jane as Ray Drecker, a formerly athletic and popular guy who seemed destined for success way back in high school. Currently a high-school teacher and basketball coach, he’s had a string of unimpressive luck, leaving him underpaid, uninsured, and pissed when his wife of 20 years (Anne Heche, Men in Trees) leaves him for her dermatologist.

Next, a fire damages his already beat-up home in Detroit, followed by Ray’s twin children deciding they’d rather live with their mother and her new clean-freak husband instead. But just as Ray reaches the end of his rope, he ventures to a local self-help class whose mantra is to identify a personal so-called “winning tool” to market for financial success.

The result? An unsatisfying encounter with a fellow class attendee and former flame named Tanya (Jane Adams, Frasier) helps Ray suddenly realize that his biggest asset has been “down there” all along. Now he just has to put “it” to good use to change his fortunes.

Ha ha! Can’t believe they actually made that premise into a whole television show, but it should definitely be fun. Check out the series preview and trailer below, and then tune in to HBO for the real thing.

Part of TBS’ recent five-day comedy festival held in Chicago through a partnership with Just For Laughs, Comedy You Can Believe In features an all-star lineup to die for, including Bruce Bruce (Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector), Mark Curry (Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper), Marina Franklin (Chapelle’s Show), Ralph Harris (Last Comic Standing), Jo Koy (Don’t Make Him Angry), and Aries Spears (A Different World).

Grier recently set aside some time to answer questions in support of the program. Follow the jump to get insider information on his latest hosting gig, such as why he accepted the job and what he hopes the show accomplishes.

What can fans look forward to during the TBS special? Do you plan to discuss certain topics?

DAVID ALAN GRIER: Actually I’m hosting this special. So, there are really five comics that are appearing, and TBS asked me to host this special. But the reason why I wanted to take this job was that we wanted to do something a little more involved than just me coming on stage and telling a couple of jokes and saying, “Hey, you’re going to love this next guy.” I mean we’re writing original material specifically for this special.

[There's] a nice, big opening piece and some interstitial stuff. So, to kind of break down the traditional role of the host, that’s what you’ll see. And out there in terms of language and subject matter, you’d have to talk to the comics. That I can’t— I bear no responsibility for them. But it’s all within the confines of what we can actually get away with.

What was it about this particular show that drew you to participate?

DAVID ALAN GRIER: I really loved the fact that TBS decided to produce and really get behind this comedy festival and move it to Chicago, which is one of my favorite cities of all time in the country. Also, it’s a way for me to reconnect.

Some of my favorite comics are on this show. Mark Curry is a guy I started with when I first started doing comedy, like, back in ‘90 or something. And to see him back and doing comedy, still really funny, really relevant, and putting it down— It just seemed like a fun gig. I mean, to be paid to hang out in Chicago with all these other comics, it was an easy call.

Also, I wanted to try to do something more interesting with a hosting gig. So, it’s not just me coming out and saying, “Hey, you’re going to love this next guy.” We’re actually writing new pieces and bits just for the special, which I think will make it more fun to watch. But I do realize my role as the host is to facilitate the evening and to stretch the comedy, keep the energy up, and really give the stage over to these other performers.

What did you find the most challenging about hosting Comedy You Can Believe In?

DAVID ALAN GRIER: You know, I try to approach it the way I want a host to be when I’m backstage waiting to go on, which is like you don’t want to say after you go off, “What the hell was that? Boy, she really stunk. Anyways, let’s hope our next comic does better.”

That’s bad hosting. You want to keep the energy up, keep people— The vibe right, and the host really does control that, and they really can enhance the evening. At its best when Rodney Dangerfield would host his specials, even on Def Jam at its best, a host can really set the tone and keep that energy and make it a better show. So, I just want to do that. I really do because I have been backstage many times wishing that the host were better.

Did you have a part in selecting the comedians that are going to be on Comedy You Can Believe In?

DAVID ALAN GRIER: I had a voice. I mean I’ll say this. I know that TBS said give us your names if you know anybody, if you have any suggestions, which I gave them. But, no, I mean that was my role.

All along they came and it was their concept, their idea to do the show, and they ultimately decided who they were going to go with. But I definitely tried to campaign for my crew.

What do you hope audiences will take away from the comedy special?

DAVID ALAN GRIER: Really, if we’re successful, they should be repeating what they saw. They should be trying to tell their friends you’ve got to see this and repeating the material that we have all done around the water cooler, never as good or as funny. And if it’s really successful, then someone else comes up while you’re telling the bad version of the funny joke and corrects you and says no, it went like this. And it just starts a daisy chain of imitation. I mean that would be awesome.

The “Very Funny” Festival: Just For Laughs is a comedy event sponsored by TBS in collaboration with Just For Laughs, which has been running comedy festivals for 25 impressive years. The current extravaganza was filmed live in Chicago during the five-day period June 17th to 21st. More than 70 shows held around Chicago included performances by top comedic talent like DeGeneres, Louis CK, Andy Dick, Bill Engvall, Jimmy Fallon, David Alan Grier, Jim Jefferies, Lisa Lampanelli, George Lopez, Bob Odenkirk, and Russell Peters.

Now, TBS is giving fans the opportunity to enjoy the very first Just For Laughs Chicago event on television through a series of specials, including the latest edition of Ellen’s variety show, which premieres tonight on the basic-cable network at 9pm ET. This one is called Ellen’s Bigger, Longer and Wider Show.

Joining Ellen for an hour of comedy, dancing, magic, music, and unique acts are multi-talented America’s Got Talent host Nick Cannon serving as DJ, magic maestro David Blaine, and Grammy-winning recording artist Kanye West, among others.

The program was taped on Wednesday, June 17, at the Chicago Theatre, and Ellen was really jazzed to be a part of it, as indicated by her comment, “I’m so excited to be going to Chicago for my variety show. We’ve got amazing acts, plus I’ve never seen the Liberty Bell up close.” Toldja.

Incidentally, TBS recently picked up The Very Funny Show, a new 30-minute, late-night standup series hosted by Tim Meadows of The Bill Engvall Show and Saturday Night Live. Filmed entirely at the Zanies Comedy Club in Chicago during the Just For Laughs Festival, the series will include sets by 30 comics. Look for it to arrive on a small screen near you later this year.
