The third-season finale of My Boys called “Spring Training” premieres tonight at 10:30pm ET, and baseball fans are in luck. Not only does the episode have a baseball theme, but Chicago Cubs team member Mike Fontenot guest stars as himself.

My Boys: ‘Friends of Friends’ Sneak Peek
May 19, 2009 by Chandra

TBS’ My Boys is going for the gold tonight (May 19) with the new episode “Friends of Friends,” which was directed by Fred Savage (Wonder Years) and guest stars Martin Mull (Roseanne).
PJ meets a friend of Stephanie’s named Emily when she attends her best friend’s birthday party. Emily must be a great gal because soon PJ and Bobby start hoping that Emily and her boyfriend will hang out with them.
Elsewhere, Kenny and Mike get cozy with a customer named Dr. Clayton (Mull), who’s actually a couples counselor that rubbed Andy and his wife the wrong way
As for Brendan, he encounters problems with his business partner, whom he begins to think isn’t contributing enough to running their club.

My Boys: ‘Facebook the Past’ Sneak Peek
May 12, 2009 by Chandra

Uh-oh. Tensions rise on tonight’s (May 12) brand-new episode of My Boys when Bobby learns during “Facebook the Past” that PJ stays in contact with all of her former significant others.
And, if that’s not sufficient melodrama for one sitcom episode, there’s also the deep discussion about the advantages and disadvantages of Facebook. Poor MySpace must be feeling so neglected.
Follow the jump for a poker-night sneak peek. There are only two episodes left after this one in the current third season.
My Boys: ‘Madder of Degrees’ Sneak Peek, Plus Treat
May 5, 2009 by Chandra

Tonight’s (May 5) new episode of TBS’ My Boys is called “Madder of Degrees,” and the “degrees” the title refers to are of the temperature kind.
When Chicago experiences a spell of uncharacteristically warm weather (see summer attire-wearing PJ and Bobby in the sunny photo above), the higher temperatures inspire a higher degree of “impulsiveness and romance” among PJ and her boys.
This week brings not only the customary sneak peek, which features the gang grumbling about the Arctic-like Chicago weather, but also a bonus clip. Called Kiril’s Outrage, it showcases the plight of one Kiril Vasakinov, formerly “the most successful producer of Russian TV,” who claims TBS stole its idea for My Boys from his earlier Russian show A Woman & Her Wolves. I don’t know about you, but I totally believe it, especially after seeing the undeniable proof with my own eyes.
Both videos follow the jump. (NOTE: And don’t bother visiting the website kirilsoutrage.ru listed in the second video — it doesn’t exist, although it would be very cool if it did.)
My Boys: ‘Carpe Burritoem’ Sneak Peek
April 28, 2009 by Chandra

Coming up tonight, April 28, on TBS’ My Boys is the fresh episode “Carpe Burritoem.”
While Brandon agrees to let PJ make all of his decisions for him, Kenny gets wrapped up in his new band, and Stephanie uses Mike as a guinea pig during her book seminar, whatever that means.
The sneak peek after the jump features PJ and Brandon demonstrating why allowing her to make his decisions might not be such a bad idea after all.
My Boys: ‘Decathlon: Part Deux’ Sneak Peek
April 20, 2009 by Chandra

The brand-new April 21st episode of TBS’ My Boys is called “Decathlon: Part Deux.” And, if you’re wondering, no, there wasn’t a previous episode called “Decathlon” or “Decathlon: Part One” or “Decathlon: Part Un.”
When PJ and her boys participate in an annual board-game decathlon, she’s less than thrilled to have her boyfriend Bobby accuse her of being competitive.
Even worse, from where I sit, Stephanie decides to use the men as research for a future article. All I have to say about that is “Big mistake!,” especially considering she’s already slept with one of them and is too ashamed to admit it to the world or her best friend PJ.
Follow the jump for a poker-night sneak peek at the episode. The entire cast (minus Jim Gaffigan, who plays Andy) and series creator/executive producer Betsy Thomas will also be holding a live chat online after the episode. The place to be is TBS.com at 11pm ET if you want to get to know the people behind the show better.
My Boys: ‘The Boyfriend Hat’ Sneak Peek
April 13, 2009 by Chandra

Coming up tomorrow on TBS’ My Boys is “The Boyfriend Hat.”
PJ’s boys accuse her looks of being responsible for her promotion at work — bad move, dudes — and Brendan brings a new bar into the sacred fold.
Of course, neither of those plotlines seems to have anything to do with the title, so maybe the network plans to spring a huge surprise on viewers. Don’t count on it, though, since this sitcom is nothing if not laid-back.
Andy and Bobby discuss in the sneak peek after the jump.
My Boys: ‘Private Eyes’ Sneak Peek
April 5, 2009 by Chandra

I’ve got bad news for my fellow My Boys watchers who found the guys’ moustaches on “Welcome Back, Kalla Fötter,” last week’s Season Three premiere, as awful-looking as I did. During the April 7 episode “Private Eyes,” we’ll learn that Mike — accurately nicknamed Amber Alert by Andy for his facial growth — is going to be a holdout, refusing to shave his off even after Brendan and Kenny come to their senses.
Also on the plate are PJ’s difficulties keeping her new romance with Bobby a secret (as if that will last long, considering how nosy her boys and her girl Stephanie are), and Brendan’s continuing efforts to open a nightclub.
Follow the jump for a sneak peek at “Private Eyes,” showcasing a night out at the bar with PJ’s boys and brother Andy. Could Mike look any more ridiculous? Well, yeah, probably, but you get my point.
‘My Boys’ Season Three Premiere Coming Up

The third season of the TBS comedy My Boys lands tonight at 10:30pm ET with the opening episode “Welcome Back, Kalla Fötter.” In case you’re wondering — and I just know you are — the last two words mean “cold feet.”
Does that mean it’s safe to predict that Bobby isn’t going to marry Andy’s beautiful Swedish nanny Elsa (Mini Anden, Dirt), or does it mean that he’s going to neglect to reveal his feelings for PJ to PJ after realizing at the end of the second-season finale “John, Cougar, Newman Camp” that she’s now involved with his brother Jack (Billy Burke, Twilight)? Or does it mean something else entirely? We fans will just have to watch and find out.
‘My Boys’ Gets Third Season
October 8, 2008 by Chandra
TBS made it official on Tuesday: the network has opted to renew the Jordana Spiro sitcom My Boys for a third season of nine episodes. Fans of the series can look forward to its return in the first quarter of 2009.
In the announcement, Content Creation Group senior vice president Michael Wright stated, “It’s that truly rare television combination of a talented cast with great chemistry, extremely smart and funny writing and outstanding production. MY BOYS is a quality show with a quality audience that continues to make the case that Turner is a true broadcast substitute.”
For those not in the know, My Boys stars Spiro as Chicago-based, 20-something sportswriter PJ Franklin, who’s constantly on the hunt for love, and her group of primarily male friends, plus one female best friend.
Now I’m looking forward to the resolution of the second-season wedding cliffhanger, which had the groom Bobby (Kyle Howard) reconsidering his feelings for PJ, who seemed to have moved on to a relationship with his brother. Good to know we’ll get some answers about what happens next.
