‘Eureka’ Has a Season Three Return Date
April 26, 2009 by Chandra
Sci Fi Channel’s Eureka finally has a return date for its current third season to resume. The network announced on Friday, April 24, that the science-fiction dramedy will take over the Fridays at 9pm ET time slot beginning on July 10. There are ten more episodes left in the 18-episode junior season.
While I personally prefer catching up with my favorite Eureka citizens before the weekend, it’s good to have them back whenever they’re allowed to hang out on the tube. Fingers crossed the new air date doesn’t lead to a decrease in ratings.

Eureka: 3.06 ‘Phased and Confused’ Preview
September 9, 2008 by Chandra
It’s not much, but a video is a video, even if it is only twenty seconds long. So, take a brief look at what’s coming up on Eureka tonight during the episode “Phased and Confused.”
Once again, the plot will find Sheriff Carter encountering more trouble around Eureka, this time in the form of a so-called superhero whose meddling creates big problems. And in a subplot, The Fixer’s latest secretive project puts Carter’s daughter Zoe and her friends in danger.
The teaser trailer for the episode follows the jump.
Eureka: A Final Goodbye to Nathan Stark
August 27, 2008 by Chandra
Yes, final.
The many Eureka fans already missing recently departed Nathan Stark got a nice surprise on last night’s “Show Me the Mummy.” Actor Ed Quinn’s character, who unexpectedly and shockingly died — for real — on the previous episode “I Do Over,” returned briefly, albeit only in the form of a holographic projection.
It turns out Nathan’s wedding gift to his bride-to-be for the second time, Allison Blake, was a man-made logic-diamond necklace programmed to express his deep and eternal love for her. How sad was it when she “played” the message at the very end of the …read more
Eureka: ‘Show Me the Mummy’ Preview (8-26-08)
August 26, 2008 by Chandra
I love these witty Eureka titles, I tell ya. On August 26h’s “Show Me the Mummy,” Sheriff Carter & Company embark on a search for a runaway mummy when a famous archaeologist sets it loose after opening an Egyptian Queen’s cursed tomb.
And, yes, the original point of disaster is at Global Dynamics — where else? — and, yes, The Fixer is the person who brings the celebrity dirt digger to town. So, since we know Eva Thorne has something likely dirty up her sleeve, her actions beg the question of whether or not the mummy incident is staged, …read more
‘Eureka’ Shocker: So Long, Nathan Stark
August 20, 2008 by Chandra
It looks like gloating, snobby scientist Nathan Stark, played to perfection by Ed Quinn, bit the dust on last night’s Groundhog Day-ish Eureka episode “I Do Over.”
Surprisingly, I miss him already, so I hope before season’s end, the Powers That Be bring him back from the dead? Departed? Disintegrated? Disappeared? Wherever he’s at.
Watch the whole stunning disaster (again) right now. Who knew I’d be so sad to see Stark go…
Video follows the jump.
Eureka: ‘I Do Over’ Preview (8-19-08)
August 19, 2008 by Chandra
As hard as reality is for us Jack-Allison fans to believe, it looks like the doctor really is going to marry her slick ex-husband Nathan Stark on the August 19 episode of Eureka called “I Do Over” … or is she?
That is the question as the puzzled sheriff finds himself living the dreaded wedding day over and over. Equally — or perhaps more — distressing, Jack’s sister Lexi (guest star Ever Carradine, pictured with Colin Ferguson) arrives in town, where the residents take an immediate liking to her, in complete contrast to how it was for Jack in the …read more
Eureka: ‘Best in Faux’ Preview (8-12-08)
August 11, 2008 by Chandra
Get ready for more mass weirdness on the August 12 episode of Eureka cleverly (what else is new?) called “Best in Faux.”
If you recognize the title’s similarity to the familiar phrase “best in show,” then you won’t be surprised to learn there’s a dog show involved in one of the subplots, and a most unusual one at that.
Allison will also have a disastrous time planning her upcoming wedding to sneaky Nathan Stark, and Zoe will do a little exploring in an accelerated physics program. Looks like all of the brainiacs around town are continuing to rub off on the …read more
Eureka: ‘What About Bob’ Preview (8-5-08)
August 5, 2008 by Chandra
Things (and people) take a step or more backwards on the August 5 episode of Eureka named “What About Bob.” The scientific types on the show call it devolvement or devolution — take your pick — but it’s all the same to me, and, of course, Eureka’s brainiacs have a difficult time coming up with a way to stop the very big problem.
The sneak peek following the jump shows Sheriff Jack Carter and Dr. Allison Blake as they literally run across the latest weirdness to hit their adopted hometown. Just be warned the situation involves snotty stuff.
‘Eureka’ Season Two Marathons
July 25, 2008 by Chandra
As I mentioned earlier this week, the third season of Eureka premieres Tuesday, July 29, at 9pm EST. To help get fans back up to speed on what happened during the second season, the Sci Fi Channel is airing not one, but two marathons before that time.
The first marathon is scheduled for Sunday, July 27. From 9am EST until 7pm EST, the first ten episodes of the thirteen-episode season will air in order, except for the fourth installment called “Games People Play.”
If you absolutely must see every episode, however, the Tuesday, July 29, marathon is the one for …read more
‘Eureka’ Season Three Is Coming
July 23, 2008 by Chandra
Get ready, my fellow Eureka fans. The third season of Sci Fi Channel’s fantastic sci-fi dramedy lands next Tuesday, July 29, at 9pm EST with the witty-sounding premiere “Bad to the Drone.”
I’ve already seen the episode, which is predictably excellent, so I’ll post an advance review soon. In the meantime, take a look at two typically clever promos for the series after the jump.
The first preview, “Whiplash,” is a standard trailer to get fans excited about what’s to come. It’s the second video, however, that I can’t get out of my head. The clip features the …read more
