The Factory: ‘Camping’ Spoilers (8-3-08)
Well, this is it folks. The first-season finale for Spike TV’s unfunny first-ever original comedy The Factory has arrived. The freshman run has been mercifully brief at just half a dozen episodes, and as I’ve mentioned before, I’m very, very eager to learn what decision the network reaches about renewing this series.
I’ve noticed that in recent weeks, the scheduled repeat episodes haven’t aired although programming guides continue to list them. Is that a warning or just coincidence? Who knows…
On the season finale “Camping,” after two of the guys go to one of their kids’ Career Day …read more
The Factory: ‘Model Employee’ Spoilers (7-27-08)
July 27, 2008 by Chandra
Only one episode of Spike TV’s unfunny The Factory remains after this week’s installment, and I cannot wait to see if the network dares to renew it. There’s been no word on that front yet.
If you have a really strong constitution and actually think the show is funny, though, here’s what’s happening on the July 27 episode called “Model Employee“: The four dudes who work in the factory get the insane idea that ladies will love to see them in a calendar when a photographer arrives in town looking for “rugged” models.
Also, the show will recycle a storyline I …read more
The Factory: ‘The Builtgood Screwcutter 5000’ Spoilers (7-20-08)
July 20, 2008 by Chandra
On “The Builtgood Screwcutter 5000,” the July 20 episode of Spike TV’s unfunny first original comedy The Factory, one of the workers is hurt badly enough on the job to require a trip to the emergency room, and another enjoys the company of a widower.
A couple of preview clips follow the jump for the courageous. As you will quickly see, they feature two of the show’s main characters acting like idiots at the hospital, which is basically the main theme of every episode.
The Factory: ‘The Drug Test’ Spoilers (7-13-08)
Are you still watching Spike TV’s first original comedy ever? If so, give yourself a pat on the back for your high level of tolerance.
On “The Drug Test,” the July 13 episode of The Factory, one of the boys, er, guys finds some marijuana, and the entire group starts acting even sillier.
No, actually, the factory workers have to make it through a subsequent investigation in order to keep the jobs they already do so lousily. If you really want to subject yourself to them, a couple of preview clips follow.

The Factory: ‘The Lemon’ Spoilers (7-6-08)
July 6, 2008 by Chandra
After watching last week’s premiere episode “The Pilot,” I have to admit I’m not in the least optimistic about the future of Spike TV’s first original comedy series The Factory. In fact, I think I’ve finally discovered a show so awful it rivals MyNetworkTV’s unforgivably bad Under One Roof.
On tonight’s second episode, “The Lemon,” one of the factory guys suffers car pains, and the entire group heads to a sorority party to get lucky. For the sake of the young women in attendance, I hope that doesn’t come close to happening for any of the four men-children.

The Factory: Spike TV’s First Original Comedy Premieres
June 28, 2008 by Chandra
…and I sure hope it fares far better than Spike TV’s first original series ever, Blade: The Series, which was canceled after just thirteen episodes back in the summer of 2006. If not, the show is looking at a pitiful lifespan of just one season.
Tomorrow night at 10pm EST, Spike TV will present the debut of The Factory, its first foray into an original comedy series, slated to run for six episodes during its rookie season.
The show is brought to us by 3 Arts Entertainment (The Office, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, and Everybody Hates Chris) and Strangers with …read more
‘The Factory’ Is Coming to Spike TV
And the Blog Off begins at Comedy Centric!
My first post is, as the title indicates, all about Spike TV’s upcoming mostly improvised, single-camera comedy The Factory. Does this show look good to me? No, it does not, and I’m not saying that just because I’m still angry at the the basic-cable network for canceling Blade: The Series two summers ago.
The Factory has that reality-TV look that instantly indicates a total budget of about ten dollars. Its premise revolves around four aimless guys, all factory workers, who live and play and avoid meaningful work in a small town. …read more
