The CBS Monday-night comedy block returns with fresh stuff on November 2 after a week off with repeats. How I Met Your Mother kicks off the two-hour period with its latest episode “Bagpipes.”

Lily and Marshall try to impress Robin and Barney on the brand-new October 12 episode of How I Met Your Mother called “The Sexless Innkeeper.”

Unfortunately, however, Lily and Marshall’s attempts to match Robin and Barney’s coolness quotient leads to disaster when they overdo it, prompting Robin and Barney to want out of their double dates.

Now that ABC has pulled poorly performing rookie sitcom In the Motherhood yet again, it’s up to Christina Applegate’s sophomore comedy Samantha Who? to carry ABC’s Thursday-night, summertime comedy lineup. I have faith.

Coming up tonight, July 2, on the series are the two fresh episodes “Todd’s Job” and “The Sister.” The first features former Girlfriends and All My Children cast member Dondre Whitfield, who just happens to be married to Eureka star Salli Richardson-Whitfield, and the second has guest stars Christine Ebersole of USA Network’s breakout hit dramedy Royal Pains and Florence Henderson of Brady Bunch fame. Although ABC unceremoniously canceled both sophomore sitcom Samantha Who? and its fleeting rookie companion In the Motherhood just a little over a month ago, the comedies return tonight, June 25, to air their remaining episodes on the shelf.

That means seven new episodes for the older show and three for the newcomer, starting with tonight’s “The Rock Star” (Samantha) and “Shepfather” (Motherhood). Details follow the jump.

Things aren’t looking too good for some TV comedy lovers.
The news dropped yesterday, just a little over a day before the latest new episodes of the ABC sitcoms In the Motherhood and Samantha Who? were slated to air tonight, beginning at 8pm ET. Instead of offering the poorly rated comedy duo, ABC has decided to go with a repeat of its more reliable performer Grey’s Anatomy from 8pm–9pm.
If it’s any consolation to Motherhood and Samantha fans, the series were already scheduled to end their midseason runs next Thursday anyway. Given the recent upheaval, however, Ugly Betty will air …read more

Its first season might have been cut in half shortly after the show’s premiere last week, presumably because of the tepid reception, but ABC’s In the Motherhood is still plugging away.
Tonight’s brand-new episode is called “Vacation.” Jane takes a week off to spend some time alone with her baby Sophie. Unfortunately, the brief vacation ends up not being as relaxing as she’d hoped. Meanwhile, Rosemary attempts to convince Horatio’s fellow nannies to form a union in order to receive job benefits, and Emily and Jason’s kids disapprove of their so-called “stay-cation” at home.

Ouch! You know things aren’t going well for your show when after just one episode aired — and the premiere at that — your home network goes and cuts the length of the season by almost 50 percent.
That’s exactly what has happened to ABC’s rookie Megan Mullally/Cheryl Hines sitcom In the Motherhood following its March 26 debut in the first half-hour of Ugly Betty’s regular time slot. I’ve been checking out the promos and sneak peeks for ABC’s latest comedy called In the Motherhood, which premieres this Thursday, March 26, at 8pm EST. I’m not sure this one is gonna float my boat.
Based on a fairly well-known Web series of the same name helmed by Leah Remini (The King of Queens), Jenny McCarthy (Two and a Half Men), and Chelsea Handler (Chelsea Lately), the television version stars Will & Grace’s mega talented Megan Mullally and Curb Your Enthusiasm’s equally gifted Cheryl Hines as Rosemary and Jane, respectively.
