The Big Bang Theory: Lewis Black Guests on ‘The Jiminy Conjecture’

The Big Bang Theory welcomes guest star Lewis Black as Professor Crawley on the September 28 episode “The Jiminy Conjecture.”

On the September 18 third-season premiere “The Electric Can Opener Fluctuation,” the guys had to journey all the way to Texas to apologize and lure angry Sheldon back home after Wolowitz opened his big mouth and revealed they tampered with his data during the North Pole expedition, guaranteeing there will be no Nobel Prize for it in the future. Thankfully, Sheldon’s no-nonsense (and ever-so-slightly racist) mother Mary (Laurie Metcalfe, Roseanne) helped ensure the guys would succeed on their Texas mission.
More importantly, however, Penny and Leonard finally make it all the way to the bedroom when the scientists return from their trip to the Lone Star state … but, unfortunately, the new-couple glow might not last that long since afterwards they both agree the event was “weird.”
During “The Jiminy Conjecture,” Penny and Leonard try to get past that awkward experience, and Sheldon and Howard use their best comic books to bet on the species of a cricket. That must be a mighty darn special kind of bug.
Sneak a peek at the episode in the following promo, which tackles the issue of whether or not Penny and Leonard are already getting on each other’s nerves.
The Big Bang Theory airs Mondays on CBS at 9:30pm ET.
