Nurse Jackie: ‘Nose Bleed’ Preview

Edie Falco’s character Jackie is in the hot seat in more ways than one on the new August 3 episode of Nurse Jackie called “Nose Bleed.”

So, just how many sticky situations does Jackie find herself in? Four to be exact. Follow the jump for details on every single one.

First, Jackie begins to experience random nose bleeds — hence the episode’s title — thanks to her “special” relationship with drugs.

Second, Zoey scrutinizes Jackie’s medical abilities when a patient the nurse previously treated is admitted to the hospital and his health condition worsens.

Third, Jackie gets understandably miffed at O’Hara when the doctor reveals she told her Paris-dwelling sister all about Jackie’s personal business, which means her job, her family, and her affair. Talk about a big mouth.

Fourth, when the victim of a car accident is pronounced brain-dead with Coop nowhere in sight, Jackie takes it upon herself to lie that Coop has certified the patient as legally brain dead in order to proceed with organ donation. I bet the good doctor’s not going to be too happy about that.

This week’s preview clips, found below, are A Bad Balloon (Grace and Fiona endure a balloon-popping predicament) and Your Brain Explodes (Jackie and Eddie talk parallel universes). How can you not love the title of the second one?
