Nurse Jackie: ‘Daffodil’ Preview

July 6, 2009 by Chandra

Showtime’s new comedy hit Nurse Jackie is quickly approaching the halfway mark in its 12-episode rookie season. Tonight’s (July 6) fresh episode is called “Daffodil,” and it’s not only the fifth installment, but the second of three episodes directed by film actor Steve Buscemi (Fargo).

Follow the jump for more details and the customary pair of previews.

On this outing:

Jackie does whatever it takes — including breaking some rules — to help the 10-year-old daughter of a woman suffering from lupus.

O’Hara takes Zoey out for a little four-star chow. Yummy!

And poor Mrs. Akalitus takes the cake when she accidentally zaps herself with a — here it comes — taser. Ouch!

This episode’s two sneak peeks are People Eat So Late (Zoey is really, really excited about her four-star chow, to O’Hara’s great embarrassment) and She’s Ten. Be Cool. (Jackie, Coop, and that ten-year-old taking care of her mom with lupus).

Nurse Jackie airs Mondays on Showtime at 10:30pm ET.
