Reese Returns on ‘Life’ Season Finale
April 8, 2009 by Chandra

It’s been nice watching Damian Lewis’ Detective Charlie Crews partner with guest star Gabrielle Union’s Detective Jane Seever, but I’m sure other fans will be as thrilled as I am that Sarah Shahi’s Detective Dani Reese is back big time during tonight’s Season Two Life finale “One.”
Also dropping by for a little criminal intrigue is Terminator: The Sarah Chronicles regular Garret Dillahunt, who reprises his recurring role as Crews’ supremely evil nemesis, Russian crook Roman Nevikov. Just how evil is Nevikov?
Well, viewers learned at the end of last week’s episode, “Initiative 38,” that instead of reporting to prison to serve out his latest lengthy sentence, Nevikov hired a guy to rot on the inside for him. And the man actually looked like he appreciates the gig! He laughed heartily right in Crews’ stunned face.
On tonight’s episode, Crews & Company search for Reese, who disappeared during a routine transport while on “assignment” with the FBI. The preview stills below show where and with whom she’s been hiding in the interim, and it turns out that — surprise! — her predicament is directly related to her regular partner and the conspiracy responsible for almost ruining his life several times over.
Sounds like really, really good times. Let’s hope this isn’t the end of one of TV’s most enjoyable and quirky current series because I and other fans could certainly use a third season.
Are you listening USA Network? If NBC dumps Life, fingers crossed the network’s characters-loving basic-cable sibling will pick it right back up. The pairing would be perfect.
Now on to those photos…

Anybody know of any “Save Life” petitions? I’ve driven myself mad searching for any sort of organized movement in this regard.
Also, anybody know where to find clips of this show? Last week’s episode “Initiative 38″ had a great song I blogged about (“The World” by Earlimart”) that plays at the beginning when they find the dead body in the hot tub, and I wanted to ad a clip to my blog posting at : http://displacedbrett.wordpress.com/2009/04/07/life
Thanks for any help.
Brett, Life full episodes are available at Hulu.com (Life Episodes), which allows you to create excerpts or clips from videos by clicking the SHARE button on the left side of the player.
As for “Save Life” campaigns — I don’t now of any either, but I and several other people I know have written NBC by email and snail mail to support the show’s renewal. You could do the same if you share our belief that every voice counts.
hey Chandra thanks, but the Hulu videos have a different song that plays than the one that played on television…same thing with the version on NBC.com. Thanks though for your help, I think I will indeed write to NBC myself as my contribution to the cause.
Man, oh man, I’m so afraid NBC will drop this series because it’s so damn GOOD (that’s what usually happens). And the season finale was just absolute PERFECTION.
Brett, I hadn’t noticed the song change. Unfortunately, I don’t know where you can get a clip of the original episode version, except perhaps on the DVD set when it’s released.
And, John, I couldn’t agree with you more. Life is the one TV show that makes me smile continuously from beginning to end, and it’s killing me to know that NBC is probably going to ax it. All we fans can do is keep hoping and contacting the network to show our support.
