‘Office’ Worker Craig Robinson Busted

Oh, no! Say it isn’t so! But, it is, unfortunately. Office cast member Craig Robinson, 36, has been busted for various drug offenses in California.
Celeb-crazed website TMZ.com got the scoop and reported just yesterday that Robinson, better known to many fans as warehouse supervisor Darryl Philbin on NBC’s The Office, was stopped by the police on June 29 for a traffic violation in Culver City, California. Upon searching his car, the cops found what sounds like a near pharmacy of hardcore drugs, including ecstasy and meth.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office subsequently charged Robinson with not only a misdemeanor DUI and felony possession of meth and ecstasy, but also being under the influence of cocaine, amphetamines, and cannabinoids … while driving in a car down a street that other people have to navigate. It’s the last part that bothers me most.
Robinson managed to post bail of $10,000 soon after his arrest and is currently scheduled to appear in court on August 21. Now if that doesn’t put a damper on the release of his latest movie, Pineapple Express, I don’t know what could.
Another weird aspect of this news is a report a few days ago regarding another colleague of Office star Steve Carell. Actor Shelley Malil, who played Haziz in Carell’s hit movie The 40-Year-Old Virgin, pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted murder on August 13.
