Lisa Bonet Gets a ‘Life on Mars’

August 1, 2008 by Chandra

Lisa BonetEntertainment Weekly reports that Cosby Show alumna Lisa Bonet has a brand-new gig in her pocket. The former middle daughter named Denise Huxtable is heading to ABC to take on a roll in the network’s adaptation of the hit BBC time-travel drama Life on Mars. I personally can’t wait to see how the showrunners fare with this remake.

Bonet will play Maya Daniels, the present-day girlfriend of Irish series star Jason O’Mara, who plays American detective Sam Tyler in the new version of the series. Already signed on in co-starring roles are Gretchen Mol as Tyler’s other girlfriend Annie Norris from the early 1970s, Harvey Keitel as top homicide detective Gene Hunt, and Michael Imperioli as non-politically correct 1970s detective Ray Carling.
