Standup Giveaway: Win Jimmy Dore’s ‘Citizen Jimmy’
July 31, 2008 by Chandra
Any Jimmy Dore comedy fans in the house?
If so, here’s your chance to win one of four copies of his standup special Citizen Jimmy, which premieres on Comedy Central this Friday, August 1, at 11pm EST. The 52-minute special will be released on DVD and CD next Tuesday, August 5, for the retail price of $14.98 and $13.98, respectively.
According to the press release: “Jimmy’s hilarious, topical take on all the ills of the country, from George W. Bush’s well hidden genius, to health care, gas prices, Dick Cheney, and Christian Preachers who rail against gay marriage before getting caught in an Airport restroom, Citizen Jimmy pulls no pre-emptive punches in dealing with the insanity of our times, and the ridiculousness of our leaders.”
To enter for a chance to win one of the four prizes up for grabs, leave a comment on this post and share your favorite standup comedian. Make sure to also use a valid email address when commenting so I can reach you easily if you’re a winner.
The giveaway is open to residents of the United States 18 years old and above only, and the entry deadline is Monday, August 4, at 11:59pm EST. I’ll randomly select Four Winners — two will receive DVDs and two CDs — after the deadline expires and contact them for their mailing address. Please, only one entry per person. Good Luck!
NOTE: If you’re a fan of Dore and/or standup comedy in general, the comedian will be touring this summer and making appearances in Aspen, Chicago, Houston, Indianapolis, San Francisco, Temecula, and Edmonton, Canada.
