Everybody Wants Michael J. Fox

Family Ties icon and Spin City alum Michael J. Fox sure is in demand these days, which is nothing but a good thing. Several TV news outlets report the always engaging actor could possibly make guest star appearances on two current comedy series that are hot properties for their respective networks.
The first casting development to break involves Fox’s talks with FX regarding a potential multi-episode story arc on Denis Leary’s smokin’ Rescue Me. I have no idea how showrunners would work the angelic-looking actor into the series’ in-your-face dramatic style, but if negotiations work out — and we all pray they do, of course — Fox would come onboard as a romantic interest for Janet (Andrea Roth), the ex-wife of Leary’s firefighter character Tommy.
As for the second series, old NBC/new ABC sitcom Scrubs, yet more talks could lead to Fox showing up there, as well, which would technically be a return. Longtime fans of the show probably remember that Fox played the character Dr. Kevin Casey on two episodes in 2004, although there’s no indication he would reprise that role if he comes back.
