Dramedy ‘The Unusuals’ Adds Harold Perrineau and Amber Tamblyn
ABC has a new cop dramedy pilot in progress called The Unusuals set in a New York police station. So far, so familiar — we’ve only seen about ten gazillion TV shows that take place in a New York police precinct come and go, right?
There is a twist, though. After recruiting recent Lost expatriate Harold Perrineau last week to portray a continually anxious and death-obsessed detective named Leo Banks, the series has added Joan of Arcadia alum Amber Tamblyn.
The 25-year-old General Hospital soap-opera veteran and star of the two The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants feature films has scored the lead role of Detective Casey Shraeger, who comes from a rich family that doesn’t approve of her, probably because she’s a cop and smart.
I’m hooked on this show’s cast already, so hurry up and bring it on.
