CBS to Air ‘The Bill Engvall Show’

There’s good news these days for the original TBS sitcom helmed by Blue Collar Comedy veteran Bill Engvall.
CBS and Turner, which owns TBS, recently announced a deal whereby the broadcast network will have the opportunity to air the successful basic-cable series The Bill Engvall Show during primetime.
That’s right, fans. Next Monday, June 9, at 8pm EST, the Eye will air the first-season episode “How Bill Met Susan” in order to help TBS cross-promote the show’s second-season premiere, “But, That’s Not Fair,” scheduled for Thursday, June 12, at 9pm.
So, what will TBS get in return for CBS’ generosity? I know what you’re thinking, but it’s not money. Instead, TBS will allow CBS to promote its own new lineup during the upcoming fall season, which seems like a pretty fair exchange.
