Two and a Half Men: ‘Fish in a Drawer’ Spoilers (5-5-08)

Spoilers
Get ready for high times on Two and a Half Men during the May 5 episode “Fish in a Drawer.” And, no, not necessarily because Robert Wagner and Jenny McCarthy return to guest star.

Instead, save all your amazement and appreciation for the writers’ crossover stunt that CBS has engineered. As a result of the cross-promotional gimmick, the May 5 episode of Two and a Half Men was written by CSI: Crime Scene Investigation writers Sarah Goldfinger and Evan Dunsky from a story by CSI executive producers Carol Mendelsohn and Naren Shankar.

In exchange for the writer loan, the May 8 episode of CSI, “Two and a Half Deaths,” was written by Two and a Half Men executive producers and writers Chuck Lorre and Lee Aronsohn. Even if you’re not a regular CSI viewer — which would really put you in the minority considering that the long-running series is the top-rated drama on U.S. television — you might want to mark your calendar and tune in on May 8 for the special installment.

The May 5 sitcom plot involves a CSI team’s investigation of a suspicious death at Charlie’s house. CSI regular — and some might say “cutie” — George Eads (Nick Stokes) guest stars.

Then on the gory May 8 crime procedural, Grissom heads up the examination of a famous sitcom diva’s death during filming in Las Vegas. The icing on the cake? Sitcom veterans Katey Sagal (Married with Children), Rachael Harris (Notes from the Underbelly), Diedrich Bader (The Drew Carey Show), and Constance Marie (George Lopez) all guest star. Woot!

Two and a Half Men airs Mondays on CBS at 9pm EST.
