John Krasinski/The Office
Here’s a treat for the many, many devotees of the hit NBC sitcom The Office.

Last night/this morning, series star and fan favorite John Krasinski, aka Jim Halpert, appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He was there promoting his forthcoming feature film, the oddly titled romantic comedy Leatherheads, which premieres nationwide next Friday, April 4.

Krasinski has a major role in the 1920s-era football film, acting opposite Academy Award winners George Clooney and Renée Zellweger. Wow! How’s that for moving up in the entertainment industry? He deserves it.

Take a look at Krasinski’s two-part interview with Jay Leno after the jump. And, if you’re a diehard fan, the actor’s also on the cover of the April 2008 edition of Boston Magazine, on newsstands now. Since he’s from the Bay State, that’s a pretty big deal.
