Welcome Back! CBS Sitcoms Return to the Tube
Tonight is guaranteed to be good times for TV comedy fans. That’s because a total of three sitcoms are making their way back to CBS’ winning Monday-night comedy block, where they’ll join The New Adventures of Old Christine, currently in progress.
Christine wraps its midseason run in just a couple of weeks, thanks, of course, to the writers strike, which reduced the number of episodes to ten, down from an original order of thirteen. Bah!
So, let’s focus on the excellent and what’s in store for viewers tonight on the returning shows. Keep in mind, too, that The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother are swapping time slots, with the first show airing a half-hour earlier now and the second trailing a half-hour later.
8:00pm EST — The Big Bang Theory
- The Cooper-Hofstadter Polarization: Uh-oh! There’s trouble on the geek front when Penny inadvertently comes between roommates Leonard and Sheldon.
8:30pm EST — How I Met Your Mother
- No Tomorrow: Marshall is forced to talk some sense into an out-of-control Ted when he starts acting a little too much like carefree Barney. MTV personality Vanessa Minnillo guest stars.
9:00pm EST — Two and a Half Men
- Meander to Your Dander: Alan, Charlie, and women are the subjects of the day, just like always. Were you really expecting something different?
If you still need help getting excited, no worries. First, check out the special CBS featurette after the jump to spend some quality video time with a few stars from all three returning Monday-night sitcoms. Then take a look at the second video with CBS stars and employees dancing for joy that the writers strike is finally over. The last clip in particular is really cute.
