‘Last Comic Standing’ Seeks Funny People

This isn’t really related to scripted comedy shows, but a friend who works with NBC tells me the network is looking for talented funny people to audition for the reality competition series Last Comic Standing.
The show, now heading into its sixth season, gives daring individuals the opportunity to stand up before the entire nation over and over again in order to prove they have what it takes to make people laugh. That’s much easier said than done, and I wouldn’t try myself unless you paid me a substantial sum of money, meaning hundreds of thousands of dollars.
So, if you think you think you somehow inherited the funny gene from your ancestors and can turn it on at will, click on over to NBC to find out how you can get on the way to showing off your mad skills on Last Comic Standing. Auditions are underway in the United States and Canada throughout February and into March, but keep in mind that you must be at least 18 years old to get your shining moment in front of the judges.
Good luck to all the insanely brave auditioners!
