Starz Airs Two Comedy-Improv Series
January 23, 2008 by Chandra

I’ve said it before and now I’m saying it again: If free TV isn’t providing enough comedy to satisfy your needs, then give pay TV a try.
Tonight, basic-cable channel Starz will begin broadcasting a pair of original comedy series that incorporate improvisation and a host of celebrities playing themselves. Both series are intended for mature audiences due to rampant adult language and situations.
First up at 10pm EST is the second-season premiere of Head Case. The show stars Alexandra Wentworth as Dr. Elizabeth Goode, a celebrity therapist with an unconventional approach to patient treatment.
Then at 10:30pm, Hollywood Residential debuts with Adam Paul starring as the hapless host of a celebrity home makeover show who habitually destroys celebrities’ residences while humiliating himself to get his big break.
The network states that famous guest stars during the current season of the shows will include Rosanna Arquette, Andy Dick, Jeff Goldblum, and Joel Madden on Head Case and Paula Abdul, Tom Arnold, Carmen Electra, Cheryl Hines, Chris Kattan, and Jamie Kennedy on Hollywood Residential.
Sound interesting? If so, check out a couple of preview clips following the jump. The first features Oscar-nominated actor Jeff Goldblum on Head Case and the second American Idol co-host and media whipping girl Paula Abdul on Hollywood Residential.
You can also view the entire first episode of the shows on their respective Starz websites if you happen to miss them tonight. Head Case’s premiere is called “Live and Let Diet” and Hollywood Residential’s “The Hotness.” Now on to the clips…
