Comedy Centric Television Resources

I’m in the final stages of completing tons of housecleaning around the Comedy Centric blog to get things in order for a more productive and organized New Year. As a direct result, the new Comedy Centric TV Calendar went live today.

The calendar is essentially a traditional TV guide focused solely on new episodes of comedy-related television series—namely select sitcoms and dramedies from both broadcast and cable networks—plus daytime and nighttime talk-show appearances by comedy entertainers. Repeats are not integrated, and aside from regular spoiler/synopsis information, I will no longer publish individual daily posts about what’s coming on television.

The calendar is maintained with the online Google Calendar service, which means you can integrate the entries into your own Google Calendar if you have one, too. I’ll be updating the guide frequently with new episode details and talk-show schedules. To access the calendar, visit the Comedy Centric TV Calendar page.

Comedy Centric has several other helpful resources, as well, all of which are usable but still actively under construction. They include Comedy Television Premiere Guides outlining a given season’s comedy series premieres, Comedy Series Episode Guides listing the descriptions of a show’s episodes, and Comedy Series Summaries detailing the premise of individual comedy shows.

The Comedy Series Episode Guides can go far into the future for active shows since I update them as soon as I get new information. As a result, people who don’t want to know what’s coming up ahead of time should read them with caution. Moreover, the Episode Guides also archive links to any past episode still images, recaps, and spoilers posted for a series. When I receive video files that I can store directly in my personal Web-based video-sharing accounts, I’ll archive those in the Episode Guides, too.

Finally, the Comedy Series Summaries all include numerous pictures of a show’s regular cast members, in addition to a general overview. That makes them a great reference if you’re unfamiliar with a series or just want to learn or brush up on who’s who and what’s what.
