Tyler Perry Lands Gig in ‘Star Trek’ Flick
Tyler Perry is The Man. Now one of the most successful and diversified entertainers in the United States, Perry apparently has a brand new gig to focus on in 2008, and it has not a thing to do with Madea or the sitcom House of Payne. According to the website UGO, Perry will appear in J.J. Abrams’ highly, roundly, hotly anticipated Star Trek movie.
Says writer Patrick, “It looks like Perry is playing the head of Starfleet Academy. My informant tells me about a big scene that was filmed a couple of weeks back that involved [two major characters] and dozens of other extras.”
