CHRIS SCORES ALONE TIME WITH TASHA

When Chris’ (Tyler James Williams) entire family comes down with the flu, Rochelle (Tichina Arnold) and Julius (Terry Crews) make arrangements for Mr. Omar (guest star Ernest Thomas) to look after Chris until the family recovers. Unfortunately, Mr. Omar’s idea of looking after Chris is leaving him alone while he attends to a grieving widow.

Not one to waste a great opportunity, Greg (Vincent Martella) suggests that Chris take advantage of the independence by inviting Tasha (guest star Paige Hurd) over for some alone time, but things get a little out of hand when word spreads that Chris has an apartment all to himself.

RAJA GETS A JOB

Gary (Scott Patterson) is ashamed to tell the family he’s been fired from his job, so he tries to get everyone to cut costs. Not wanting to be a burden on the family, Raja (Adhir Kalyan) gets a job at a convenience store, much to Gary’s delight.

Justin (Dan Byrd) and his pals Craig (Alex Pimm) and Dooley (Adam Rose) are thrilled when they go to visit Raja at work and discover that the convenience store parking lot is the cool kids’ hang-out. Everything is fine until Raja upsets the natural balance by refusing to sell liquor to kids with fake I.D. cards.

DEALING WITH A LOSS

When Maya (Golden Brooks) accuses Darnell (Khalil Kain) of blaming her for the miscarriage, Joan (Tracee Ellis Ross) and Lynn (Persia White) are worried that Maya is in denial and not allowing herself to grieve.

Meanwhile, Monica (Keesha Sharp) and William (Reggie Hayes) prepare for their first dinner party, and Joan talks Lynn into opening her first bank account.

Fool Me Twice… I’m The Damn Fool

Derwin (Pooch Hall) gets Melanie (Tia Mowry) to agree to go out to dinner with him. Little does Melanie know he is planning a surprise marriage proposal with R&B singer Musiq Souldchild to serenade her. Later, things go wrong when Melanie sees Derwin kiss Drew Sidora (guest starring as herself) on the Music Video Awards. Believing Derwin has played her for a fool once again, an inebriated Melanie tries to sleep with Malik (Hosea Chanchez).
