Alyson Hannigan Helps Celebrate Women in Hollywood
How I Met Your Mother cutie Alyson Hannigan was among numerous stars who attended Elle magazine’s 14th Annual Women in Hollywood Event, which was held at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills Hotel on Monday, October 15.
The annual gathering pays deserved tribute to some of the most prominent ladies in the entertainment industry, whose very presence, constant efforts, and great talent contribute to making showbiz more hospitable to women.
This year’s seven honorees include:
- Amy Adams, Junebug
- Lauren Bacall, living film legend
- Kate Bosworth, Superman Returns
- Jennifer Connelly, A Beautiful Mind
- Scarlett Johansson, Lost in Translation
- Diane Lane, Unfaithful
- Julie Taymor, director of Across the Universe
Alyson isn’t on that list, but her presence was very appropriate, as she continues to be one of the most popular actresses on television and in film. She looks smashing, too, doesn’t she? As always.
Factoid Time: Alyson’s hubby Alexis Denisof and I went to the same high school, although he graduated before I arrived. Denisof also played Wesley Wyndam-Pryce, my favorite character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, until Amy Acker’s Winifred “Fred” Burkle came along. The loose connections explain why I’m particularly fond of Alyson and her work.
