Comedy Talk: Friday Hodgepodge
Three different people from three different shows have guest appearances coming up tonight/early tomorrow. None may be the stars of their series either, but fans know and love them all the same.
Representing NBC’s The Office is Angela Kinsey, the actress who plays Angela Martin, everyone’s favorite uptight, cat-loving, constantly reprimanding co-worker. She’ll be sitting aside super late-night man David Letterman on the Late Show with David Letterman sometime after 11:35pm EST. Bonus for classic comedy lovers: Comedy veteran Bob Newhart (The Bob Newhart Show, Newhart) will be there, too.
Representing Fox’s rookie sitcom Back to You is Fred Willard, another longtime funnyman who’s appeared in everything from Everybody Loves Raymond with current co-star Patricia Heaton to the naughty contemporary comedy flicks Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle and American Wedding. He’ll be joining Conan the Comedian on Late Night with Conan O’Brien at 12:37am Saturday morning. Bonus for guys (and some girls): Gorgeous Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Connelly is scheduled for a chat, as well.
Finally, representing TBS’ hit comedy series Tyler Perry’s House of Payne is the entertainment everyman himself, Tyler Perry. Jay Leno has him secured for a sit-down around 11:35pm on The Tonight Show. Bonus for fans of true artistry: Australian Oscar winner Cate Blanchett and Scottish multiple Grammy winner Annie Lennox will both be providing a feminine touch.
